Offer an intensive 8-week summer training program, including critical technology, business operation, professional skills, including coaching and preparation to join the workforce. Then, during a year-long, paid internship at partner companies, students further develop and refine high-demand work skills while providing valued services to corporate partners and earning wages that feed back into both the program and the student's family budgets.

Expanding Partner Support
The program is seeing high engagement from corporate partners to add internships in Northern Virginia, given that Managers at the corporate partners are telling Genesys Works that a) there are currently more IT support jobs than people to fill them and b) immigrant and minority workers are more likely to stay in the region and job than non-immigrant or non-minority workers While not all participants will go on to matriculate in college or even graduate from college, there is strong correlation between the training and experience provided through internships and future employment in the sector. Therefore, we expect a boost in placement and ultimately lifetime earnings for program participants.
